Vectorman was one of the games I met a certain time I rented 6 games at once , as a gift from my mother , in my valuable 14 years. Along with it , I found Beyond Oasis too, but that is for another review .

Vectorman , before anything else , is a beautiful game to look at, has great lighting effects , shadow and great animations both for Vectorman as enemies and scenarios .

The game is very colorful , but not so easy. You gonna grieve if you want to reach the end of the game, because the stages are huge and full of enemies waiting for you .

Some of them take almost ten minutes to be explored and past , since the scenarios hide many items ( arranged in monitors usually stuck on walls ) , and many of them are precious lives or more powerful weapons .

Our green robot can equip several different shots , and turn into other things , depending of the stages, as a useful bomb to open a passage , a swimmer reptile, a dancer ball , and so on. .

The transformations of Vectorman help to give a good balanced in gameplay, which ultimately not only summarizing the game to jump and shoot all the time.

The music and sound effects are great, a true neat of Sega, as was customary at the time.

Vectorman is a game that should be enjoyed by everyone, because, besides being a great  fucking game, is a fine example of the Mega Drive had a lot of power hidden where only the masters could find.

A lilting, beautiful game, with reasonable difficulty, and shooting.

Sure, a lot of people who do not know may be surprised with the game.

Last Battle is based on  HOKUTO NO KEN ( yes Ryu ) , released only on Japan . Because of copyright that Westerners not have ( so you can see the mess of Sega ) , the game had to change the name, change the characters and suffer a damn censorship just to be able to release on our land.
In this scheme, Kenshiro is now called Aarzak and the whole guys of anime changed of names too. The censorship was due to the nonexistent blood in this version.

In the game we control Aarzak, he need to beat a crowd for some reason I'm sure that the anime can explain, since I do not know. It is basically a game of street fighting, but in different streets and side-scrolling, unlike Streets of Rage.

Aarzak has kicks and punches at the disposal, and even has a power bar that I could not fill, but must release a typical power of Japanese cartoons.

The game follows a very small map , like a board game, where each stage has a drawing of a city in ruins . I died on the first boss and quit.

Funny that, at the time I rented, I was fucking away, but never finished this fucking game. The game has good controls, cool sounds, but his very repetitive.

If you're a fan of anime, play without fear, but take the japonese version, because you will become angry with this.

The Chaos Engine

Genre: Shooter

Chaos Engine is a shooter seen from above, like Mercs, with possibility to choose between several characters to go killing enemies and collecting money.
The game takes place in different regions, from cities to swamps, sewers and wtf,  unfortunately is so hard I could barely reach the third stage.

In the U.S. this game is called SOLDIERS OF FORTUNE.

What happens is this: the player chooses his character and another to help because the game is only playable in two, either a friend or the CPU controlling your partner. The goal is go killing and collecting items and keys to go his way until the end of the stage.

The characters are very varied, ranging from the mutant hunters, warriors and other beasts (you can see the cover), all crazy for money. The game plot is bizarre, something that involves genetic mutations and a bizarre creation of European government.

The game has a tremendous depth, with solid control and a nice gameplay to play.

One thing that was lacking was shoot and walk at the same time, but nothing that can steal the fun provided by the game.

At the end of each stage you can buy new items, improve weapon, buy life and energy, and so on, all using the money from the slaughtered enemies in stages.

If you play with a friend, the fun is even greater.

Recommended!
